New Central Library and Cultural Centre, incorporating community meeting rooms and educational space. The Cultural Centre includes a multi-purpose room seating 100 people, café foyer, exhibition space and public toilets.
Completed in the autumn of 2014 and located at the iconic sea front at Dun Laoghaire. This is a truly modern library. There is a children’s library, a large art gallery space, a studio space for spoken word events and even a laptop library with 24 laptops you can borrow for free to use in the library. Not to mention that this is the only public library in the country with an automated book sorter.
FIMA carried out the entire civil works on a sub contract. The work included site set up, bulk dig, offsite, rock breaking, filling with import stone/concrete, drainage and service diversions, foundations, drainage, ducting, watermain, road construction and preparation for hard and soft landscaping.
