This building was completed in September 2012 and is located between the Navan and Ratoath roads in Cabra, Dublin.
The building will provide a place where the deaf community have an administration, social, community, and lifelong learning centre. Part of the project involved the demolition of the old Cabra school for the deaf and the retention of the existing chapel. The chapel has been modified to contain offices and meeting rooms. The new building contains spots halls, swimming pools, social areas, offices, and changing areas.
FIMA carried out the entire civil works on a sub contract. The work included site set up, bulk dig, offsite, filling with import stone, drainage and service diversions, foundations, drainage, ducting, watermain, road construction and preparation for hard and soft landscaping. FIMA also constructed a new roundabout on the Ratoath road entrance.
This was constructed while keeping one lane of traffic open at all times.
