FIMA was employed by Sisk to carry out all the civils, landscaping and construct the new DSPCA buildings up to structural floor levels. The contract involved the building of kennels, a cattery, a veterinary clinic, a reception building and all associated drainage, roads, carparking and landscaping.
This new development greatly improved the DSPCA’s facilities, enabling them to generate further income through offering pet boarding facilities, as well as a commercial veterinary practice. The pet boarding kennels have been particularly popular among DSPCA clients, with bookings required 6 months in advance! All profits from both the boarding kennels and the veterinary practice are channelled back into the DSPCA’s animal rescue work.
FIMA successfully completed this civils project almost 6 weeks ahead of schedule, enabling our client to bring the project in ahead of programme, which they did. All works were carried out with no reportable safety incidents or loss in quality.
